Revisiting our manifesto for learning

In 2022 we asked, “what will the future of inclusive and accessible education look like?” and went about creating a Manifesto for Inclusive and Accessible Learning. The process had to involve the active learning community and so we ran interactive sessions in both the ALN Festival and ALN Conference in which attendees had the opportunity and time to contribute.

The video below is a recording of one of the Conference sessions we ran to help us set the core principles for inclusive and accessible education. The session provided a chance for participants to reflect on their experience and contribute to the manifesto and ultimately provide greater equity and social justice within learning contexts across the world.

Chair was Sam Hemsley & facilitator was Tab Betts

The co-created manifesto was included in our 100 ideas for Active Learning Network book. We have added this resource to our blog now, as we are revisiting the resources we have created in the past and highlighting those we think are still relevant. As active readers, we would like you to revisit the manifesto, how it was created and reflect on its relevance now and the progess we have made in making the manifesto a reality.
