Due to popular demand, we are thrilled to invite you to the Active Learning Network Global Educator Exchange kick-off event. Join us for a fantastic opportunity to expand the reach and impact of your career through cross-institutional collaboration and peer-mentorship.

Purpose: This professional exchange is a buddy scheme to enable educators from different institutions around the world, and members of ALN satellite organisations from across the global network, to form cross-institutional groups. Each group, consisting of 3-4 members from different organisations, will aim to meet at least once every two months to discuss how to build community, pedagogic practice, scholarship and career development around active and inclusive learning. Even if you are unable to attend the kick-off event, you can still sign-up to be paired up with colleagues to form a global educator exchange group, and you can arrange your own time to meet, discuss and share ideas.
🌐 Overview of the event:
- Introduction: We’ll start with a brief introduction to set the stage.
- Breakout Discussions: Participants will be divided into breakout rooms to introduce themselves and share ideas on how to build community, pedagogic practice, scholarship and career development around active learning.
- Action Planning: As a group, you’ll establish leadership roles, discuss logistics for ongoing collaboration and support each other to begin creating a simple roadmap to plan your ideas, initiatives and collaborations related to active learning. Following the event, these roadmaps can be developed into an actionable plan to guide your future efforts.
- Wrap-Up: At the end of the event, we will briefly reconvene to summarise and discuss next steps.
