Are you wanting to design active learning into your module?  Look back at Dr Rod Cullen and Orlagh McCabe’s chapter where they present an interesting teaching design that can be used in online, distance and in-person teaching in 100 Ideas for Active Learning. They an introduce a teaching process of Triggering ideas, Reviewing those, comparing ideas with Evidence and Consolidating the ideas with that evidence (the TREC model).
