Brand new collaborative publication on the way (Using Science-Fiction and Active Learning as a tool for Reimagining the Future):
A group of us met on 30th May 2025 to start planning a brand new publication on the topic of using science-fiction and active learning as a tool for reimagining the future. We went through an ideation, shortlisting and selection process during the meeting and arrived on the following provisional title:
“From Fiction to the Future: Leveraging Speculative Design, Gamification, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Transformative Active Learning in Higher Education”
Our next task is to start conducting an annotated bibliography and literature review on the topic. The aim is for each contributing author to find 5 or so sources that we could include in a literature review on the above topic and add these as entries within the annotated bibliography. If you are interested in leading or contributing to efforts on this publication, then please reply to this email or contact activelearningnetwork at gmail.com to register your interest.
Kind regards,
The Active Learning Network Team
