This year, the Festival and Conference with the theme is ‘Celebrating Active Learning & Participation’ will be held between the 23rd and 25th of April 2025.
The Festival is online and free to attend, and will take place on the 23rd, 24th and the 25th of April 2025, with three 1-hour slots each day at 9am breakfast, 1pm lunch and 4pm tea (UK time). It is a celebratory event where you can share your active learning practice, experiment with new ideas, hold a discussion on a topic or co-create resources.
There will be a range of sessions based around the following subthemes:
- Welcoming students – co-creation, transitions, inclusivity
- Campfire – igniting warmth and community
- Joyful pedagogies – creativity and fun
- Celebrating achievements – of staff and/or students
- Connecting heart and mind – embodied learning
- Wildcard – future-gazing
